Caps 3, Penquins 1 in the Winter Classic!!!

And on national TV and in front of 63,000 of ya'll rabid Penguin's fans... So, at least for today, life is very good...

Well Bobert I am glad you enjoyed the game.   I watched the first period and got totally bored due to all the whistles. It took almost one hour to play the first period. I guess the second and third period got a little better eh! Three hour to play a hockey game is way to long. I understand by what I have been reading this morning that it got a bit chippy. This doesn't surprise me as there is no love lost between these two great teams.

Well, the Penguins HAD to lose after Bob Costas kissed Sid's ass over and over and over. Even Sid was annoyed with Costas' questions about how the rain delay would affect his play over and over and fucking over. I think his toupee was on too tight.

I'm with you, JtS... The Penguins are the team that Caps fans hate the most because of exactly that... The rivalry has been one sided... It's almost like watchin' Lucy pull the football away from Charlie Brown... You hate it for Charlie Brown and it really stinks/sucks to watch the Penquins do it to the Caps year in and year out...

But then again I'm a D.C. sports fan so I have become somewhat desensitized to rooting for lousy and/or snake bit teams... I mean, the football team went 6-10 this season and we thought, "Hey, that's better than last year"... D.C. sports have been in a funk forever...

But maybe, just maybe, one of them will break the curse and we'll have respectable teams like most every other city... Detroit being an exception...
