Subject: RE: Broadside Conference 26 Feb 2010-Cecil Sharp House From: giles earle Date: 08 Jan 11 - 03:59 PM I did manage to book via the EFDSS website, earlier this evening (Saturday). So it's possible, albeit time-consuming thanks to a series of pages that took an age to load when I tried to pay. Looks like a most interesting day. I heard Lucie Skeaping's talk a couple of years ago, in York. |

Subject: RE: Broadside Conference 26 Feb 2011-Cecil Sharp House From: Les in Chorlton Date: 09 Jan 11 - 08:28 AM I guess the post before mine was some kind of spamish intervention? I will be happy to see my response removed - especially since it makes no sense now the spamish thing has gone L in C# --------------Done. This thread is indeed attracting persistent spam and may have to be closed. JoeClone-------------- |

Subject: RE: Broadside Conference 26 Feb 2011-Cecil Sharp House From: Steve Gardham Date: 09 Jan 11 - 03:33 PM Intriguing? What sort of Spam? ---------- Nothing very interesting, I'm afraid. Some threads attract persistent spam (several posts every day) - for no very obvious reason. JoeClone---------- |

Subject: RE: Broadside Conference 26 Feb 2011-Cecil Sharp House From: Fred McCormick Date: 10 Jan 11 - 06:07 AM Joe, I appreciate your quandry. But this is an important thread on an important subject. Wouldn't it be better to just keep deleting the spam, as you did with the two which followed Les in Chorlton's posting above? ------------ Agreed, Fred. We'll try to keep it clear until the event occurs. JoeClone------------------- |

Subject: RE: Broadside Conference 26 Feb 2011-Cecil Sharp House From: Ruth Archer Date: 01 Mar 11 - 07:21 AM A great event. So many really fascinating talks, but my personal highlights of the day were the extremely rude original version of Lavender's Blue, and the utterly glorious The Lass with the Velvet Arse. There was a fair bit of highly entertaining filth, it must be said. ---------- Thread closed due to persistent spamming. Maybe start a new one, now the conference is over?-------------------- |
