Subject: Lyr Req: 'Goin' every step of the way' From: GUEST,Trewissick Date: 11 Jan 11 - 12:41 PM This (I think) is the title of a song featured on a BBC documentary of recordings made by Arthur Miller in Wilmington in the 1940s. Anyone heard of it? Other thread with more info on the BBC programme is here: http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=78667&messages=25 Thanks, Trewk. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 'Goin' every step of the way' From: Jim Dixon Date: 15 Jan 11 - 12:57 AM I couldn't find anything called GOING EVERY STEP OF THE WAY (or GOIN'...). I found lots of songs called EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, but none of them looks like a civil rights/union/protest song. (That's what you're looking for, right?) I found one song called PRAY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. It's definitely a gospel song. I know a lot of civil rights songs were based on older gospel songs, but this seems the closest I can get. |
