Good to hear Rick Wakeman's debut on the first broadcast of the new series last night.

Does anybody else think that Gyles Brandreth might be Kenneth Williams' love child? He certainly whines and whinges enough for it!

R.W. gave a good account of himself, I felt, certainly didn't stand out as being the new boy as some have in the past.

Brandreth? - I'm never quite sure that he is human at all. But oddly enough I heard a clip from an old recording of the late Derek Nimmo (sp?) on J.A.M. and felt his deliberately-contrived delivery might be something that Brandreth was aping when building his on-air persona.
