I was just in the shower after have worked up a lather during a rather long brisque sit at my desk. The phone rang as soon as started to wash my hair but the answering machine is set on 5 rings so I was able to lather-rinse-repeat and open the curtain long enough to hear silence after the beep. The caller did not leave a message.

Reverse lookup tells me the call was made from a cell phone in Martin, North Dakota. I can't remember if I know anybody in Martin. Anybody know who it was?

Googling that phone number gets a bunch of discussions - you are not alone in getting calls from there. It is apparently an automated key logger.

SiX... did you speak to the caller or did the caller leave a message? Was it important? Should I call back right away? Can they save me money by switching over? Did I win something? I have been fretting all day over missing the call because of my cleanliness. I was considering hiring an assistant as I really do like to wash up every so often but I don't like to miss important calls from far away people I do not know.

There are lots of places you'll find on Google where you can search on numbers. They do seem to come in patterns, but that doesn't make them any less annoying to know that it is one particular company or individual trying to put the squeeze on your wallet.

Ignore it. Block the call even. You'll be happier for it.
