Gee, SingsIrish, we gotta get you people out of the GIF mode. It's a hassle to produce GIFs, and then there's not much you can do with them. You can do so much more with playable files like MIDI or ABC or Noteworthy, and they're smaller files. Anything we can do to help you get used to the other types of file?
Of course, I suppose that if you want to display a tune on a Website, GIFs are the way to go.

Joe, I can understand the request for Gifs. You can print them out as sheet music and play/sing it yourself from the music, share with others, too, who want to play from notation.

When I put this abc into BarFly, I get an error when I try to display the GIF. "Error in note length: B5/4" The tune will play, but the Gif won't display past B5/4.

I found more "errors" than that in ABC2win. Couldn't get a "draw tune" to show at all.

Still need to be able to print the notation of A Stor Mo Chroi. I'm on a Mac (using BarFly for abc). Anyone have an abc that will display the notation? Thanks.

There is no such thing as a 5/4 note in "tadpole" notation, so you have to change B5/4 to a tied 1/4 note and a 1/16 (B-B/4). Player programs don't have problem with strange fractions (15/8) but many notation programs do.

Unfortunately MidiText produces these fractions (and puts the tie the wrong side of a barline) - try this, I've "translated" it from machine ABC to manual. X:1

It ain't really Eb. Three flats is also C minor, but MidiText doesn't know that!
