I'd spend it correcting English grammar, and telling people they weren't really playing folk music. In fact their whole careers had been a bit of a mistake when taking that into cosideration. I can only think Satan will be waiting for them in his red tights and a branding iron reading "1954 - revenged!"

Dunno - maybe read one of those books on the other impending death thread? Getting a bit morbid here, Lizzie - what gives? On second thoughts, don't answer that - such melancholia is rife these days; last night I watched Dan Snow giving us a graphic account of executions in the French Revolution with a tour around the subterraean charnel houses piled deep & high with the bones of millions. Human beings everyone. Tonight, I think I'll watch Top Cat instead.

I've had some time to think about this and it hits way too close to home for me. What would I do?

I would do what we do everyday. I would love them, tell them that I love them and pray for their health and happiness. I would pray for forgiveness of my own sins and be thankful for the life I've had. I would cry for having to leave my family. Nothing could ever be more important to me than knowing my family is ok and that they know they are loved with every ounce of my being.

I'd change my guitar strings. They sound so much better that way.

In actuality, though, I would probably make quick calls to several people in my life and then join the music party in the other room. I'm assuming that the agent of my expected demise would be some kind of cataclysmic event- like Bill D's comet - so I would take what measures I could reasonably do and then get busy. I would lmost definitely not want to meet my end at an airport screaming for a seat on a plane.

If I were being executed... hmmmmm. I'd have to think about that.

Little bit too close for me, too, right now, like Michelle. Most important, I would ask my kids to join me at home and tell them all how much I love them and their kids. Some quiet time with my Rog. I'd be happy to go in one way, but sad about leaving my family and friends. I"d make some phone calls, too. In truth, I hope I go in my sleep, peacefully without the strife of sadness, etc.
