Subject: BS: Life on earth (new info) From: Mrrzy Date: 16 Jun 11 - 04:29 PM I quote from above the fold: Water on the asteroid reacted with the rock to form organic compounds—including many scientists I laughed out loud. Anyway, here's the blicky. Click! |

Subject: RE: BS: Life on earth (new info) From: gnu Date: 16 Jun 11 - 04:46 PM I think the whole thing started when the Gods had a snowball fight and hit earth with a snowball that had snow fleas in it. Hey, it's as good a hypothesis as these guys got eh? Aggghhhh... can you scratch my back right between my shoulder blades? I'm right itchy there for some reason. |

Subject: RE: BS: Life on earth (new info) From: Donuel Date: 16 Jun 11 - 05:20 PM The second (late) bombardment from asteroids was the result of Jupiter and Saturn moving toward a father out orbit. The comets and asteroids they sent spiraling in towards Earth, Mars and its moons delivered lots of ancient water that made subsequent life possible. Some of these rocks already had amino acids and maybe proto nano bacteria. It is possible that Venus also settled into its present orbit at that time as a result of the gas giants voyage father from the sun. Velikovsky was ridiculed for some of these ideas 35 years ago. Not only was the Earth at one time a white planet covered only by ice as well as a time when no ice covered the Earth at all, but it was also a gas giant very early in its existence. What remains is its rocky metallic core after the great clouds of methane and hydrogen were blasted away by solar winds and Super Collosal Coronal Mass Ejections. Some of the hydrocarbons exist deep under ground as a result of ancient precipitation. The rest of the oil on earth is mostly fossilized algae and plants, not Brontosaurus as the Sinclair sign suggested. During the pin ball madness age of the solar system as the gas giants moved away, certain planets may have passed so close to one another as to exchange electrical charges with cosmic lightening bolts that traversed half a million kilometers. There persists a theory that the asteroid belt is not merely a failed plante duie to Jupiter's gravity but a destroyed planet due to collisions during Jupiter's drift outward. The old standard explanation for the asteroid belt is still half right - it is there because of Jupiter's gravity. Life on Earth is primarily the expression of 4 different forms of DNA, if we include viri RNA as being life. The other three are flora (photosynthesis) fauna (insects reptiles and mammals) and the deep sea and underground forms of life that live in total darkness at extreme pressure and heat and use sulpher and other minerals for food synthesis. |
