Dia is muire guth,Bean Phaidin is on an Anuna album with an Poc ar buile and that is how I would think you would get the true gist of the song.....! I love it I hope you do too......the album number is Danu 001 ,so it was their first ,the group are on the Internet and Stephen manages and checks the site all the time...let me know....!

Here comes the lyric version that I have.
Chorus and the first two verses are identical (except for the order)
with chorus and verses on the page given by Áine,
only the 3rd verse is different.

There's a version to which I am rather partial on a CD called something like World Library of ... Ancient Folk Music or some such (sorry don't have it with me) and also don't have the singer's name but i think the whole lot was recorded back in the 50's. Anyhow, yer man is from Connemara and has a lovely voice like a set of uileann pipes.

I shall visit the html practice area to find out how to put the fada on vowels & post the lyrics I have for Bean Phaidin.

I found the name of one of the CDs it is on: the Alan Lomax collection: World Library of Folk and Primitive Music - Volume 2 - Ireland.

Donal Lunny sang Bean Phaidin on the Planxty album The Well Below the Valley (not Moynihan). This also used on the compilation of the first three albums, The Planxty Collection. This is Lunny's only recorded vocal with Planxty.
