After 18 years of research, last Thurs night I met my brother ( 1/2 bother ) for the first time EVER! He is the only blood relative that I have EVER met! We got on like a house on fire!

There was another brother, sadly he died aged only 17! back in 1981.
There are 3 sisters as well, I have spoken to 2 on the phone, but the 3rd is yet to be found.

(An aside: When my daughter was little she got a baby brother in far off California from her father's second marriage. Oh, did she lord it over her cousin.

Finally her cousin went to her mother and said, Mommy, are you sure I don't have a baby brother some place?)

This is exciting news!! I am glad you were able to meet...hope you will enjoy lots of good times together. I do genealogy research and have found some relatives of mine and also helped others find birth parents, siblings, etc. There is often real satisfaction in connecting with family members. (I am an only child, so siblings seem even more special when you have none)

Write a story about this for us. I have a friend who discovered, at ~45, that she had 'another family', somewhere in the midwest. Her only sister had died young, so this was a real joy for her.
And all the stories we've seen about people finding half-siblings - sometimes 50 or more - via the net... from anonymous fathers who donated sperm. Imagine a room full of strangers who all acted sorta like you!
I have an older brother that I haven't seen in at least 10 years. We aren't that close, but I was amazed at how similar we acted - even dressed in the same style of evening-casual shirt.
