What on earth is this? Look at the third picture in particular - it looks like a melodeon designed by H.R. Giger!

It looks like an Eastern European cheap and nasty one row melodeon, probably with all the 'right hand' reeds on one, maybe two plates, making repairs well nigh impossible.

The bid price at the time I saw it (22 squids) is probably about right - ornamental, but not practical.

Eastern European it ain't, unless it's been faked up and/or patched up - look at picture 2.

Pip...ask aat www.melodeon.net...somebody will have chapter and verse.

It could be what Bernard says..the stamp in picture 2 may well be the dealer rather than manufacturer

It's definitely an antique English melodeon or flutina type instrument. I've never seen one with the amplifier horns on before - fascinating.

Similar instruments.
