Subject: RE: Mystery squeezbox From: johnadams Date: 14 Jul 11 - 02:36 PM It's definitely an antique English melodeon or flutina type instrument. I've never seen one with the amplifier horns on before - fascinating. Similar instruments. |

Subject: RE: Mystery squeezbox From: Phil Edwards Date: 14 Jul 11 - 12:11 PM Eastern European it ain't, unless it's been faked up and/or patched up - look at picture 2. |
Subject: RE: Mystery squeezbox From: Bernard Date: 14 Jul 11 - 11:52 AM It looks like an Eastern European cheap and nasty one row melodeon, probably with all the 'right hand' reeds on one, maybe two plates, making repairs well nigh impossible. The bid price at the time I saw it (22 squids) is probably about right - ornamental, but not practical. |
Subject: Mystery squeezebox From: Phil Edwards Date: 14 Jul 11 - 11:41 AM What on earth is this? Look at the third picture in particular - it looks like a melodeon designed by H.R. Giger! |
