I just got a phone call.....It was a telemarketer representing my local phone company, GTE. She said she was "happy" to be offer me, for only one dollar per month, an additional service for my caller ID. This one would block out "all those annoying telemarketer calls."

After I stopped laughing, which took awhile, I asked if it would block her from calling me again. She said no, so I said I'd pass on it since it obviously doesn't work.

Seems like one of those "Catch-22" deals....How are you going to know about the telemarketing block service unless a telemarketer tells you about it? Yep, modern tech-o-nogology sure do create some interesting moments..

Somehow, a dating service found out that I was single, and one of the women kept calling to ask if I would join their "club" I declined each time. Finally, after at least 6 calls, she asked if I was seeing anyone (rather personal I thought) and I said "Yes" Then she asked if it was serious!! I said "It will be if her husband finds out!" havn't heard from her in 3 years noe.

Ah, Kendall reminds me of a tale.....

Two fellows met on the street one day, the first one had a bad swelling around the eyes and his face was all puffy and discolored. The second fellow asked him what happened. First man replied he was suffering from seenus problems.

"Seenus problems?" Asked the second fellow, "Don't you mean SINUS.

"Nope", the first man replied, "You see I was in bed with my neighbor's wife and he SEEN US!"

I get a lot of junk mail so what I do is save it all,when i have a lot i put it in an evelope and send it back to a sender at random stating.
Congratulations you have been chosen to recieve absolutly free my months supply of junk mail, if you want to be included in nexts months draw please send more mail.If not remove my name from your list, You do not put a stamp on the envelope making them pay.In the UK it is double postage. That stops them.

This side of the world (Argentina) the problem is in the e-mail, mainly. I used to politely complain, but this gave as a result, more junk mail. Then I decided to forget about politeness and social rules, and sent several messages recommending them to get their courses and services into those of their parts where the sun does not reach. After all, who would take the burden of sueing me ? Ok, this had an immediate effect. Since then I did not receive any more junk mail. Is it possible that my name got into a list of unsocial individuals, to whom NO COMMERCIAL MAIL should be sent ? Is it possible such a blessing ?
