Subject: RE: BS: Whatever happened to salted peanuts? From: Bill D Date: 07 Sep 11 - 05:55 PM I bought Trader Joe's cashews (sniffle) yesterday. Where do peanuts sold in the UK grow? We grow them here in the US, and perhaps have a more efficient pipeline. |
Subject: RE: BS: Whatever happened to salted peanuts? From: Don Firth Date: 07 Sep 11 - 05:43 PM Hmm. My wife gets them at our local Trader Joe's. They have various size bags of salted, lightly salted, or unsalted. Cashews (gesundheit!), too. Don Firth |

Subject: RE: BS: Whatever happened to salted peanuts? From: GUEST,Jon Date: 07 Sep 11 - 05:39 PM My teeth don't like peanuts any more but I liked the salted ones and never was fond of dry roasted ones. I think the best though were the ones we called monkey nuts - just the peanuts in their shells. Can you still get them for human consumption anywhere? |

Subject: BS: Whatever happened to salted peanuts? From: Bonzo3legs Date: 07 Sep 11 - 05:28 PM Until recently it was easy to buy a pack of salted peanuts. Now, manufacturers have decided to produce numerous foul flavoured, hard boiled, roasted and whatever, so it's necessary to sort through 28 different packs in our local Sainsbury's before finding my jumbo salted peanuts!!! |
