Subject: BS: Swansea miners trapped From: I don't know Date: 16 Sep 11 - 07:02 AM Until today very little news about the 4 miners trapped in the Swansea area. Was hoping to hear they had them all out alive but just seen that one has been found dead. Thinking & praying for the men & there families. |

Subject: RE: BS: Swansea miners trapped From: mouldy Date: 16 Sep 11 - 12:02 PM Water in a mine is one of the most difficult things to deal with, and when it's been there a while it can become quite acidic. Some pits are known as "wet" pits, and it sounds like this may have been one, if it was so close to water. There are rules about the proximity of working to water-bearing strata...must have been some unaccounted for water source, maybe.. My thoughts are with the 4 families. I hope the press give them some space. Andrea |

Subject: RE: BS: Swansea miners trapped From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 Sep 11 - 04:12 PM One out alive I think. Must add "Springhill Mine" and/or "Coalhouse door" to the set list. If I were American there are fine American songs about private mine safety standards. |
