The last time DougR posted was 27 July, so yes, it's a bit concerning.

Anyone?

Word on the street is that Dougie has checked into the Betty Ford clinic for his addiction to the Republican Party...

But seriously, where the hell is the knot head??? I miss him...

Where in the heck is a lot of our folks.
DougR. Hope you are just taking a deserving break.
Now where in the hell is "Bee". I hope if she is looking in that all is well.

Ditto that, Beer. Someone went and met her last year(?) or year before. She was then having computer problems.

Doug is probably taking a much needed rest from Mudcat BS. Can't say that I blame him.

Charley Noble, who doesn't even exist

Thank you Mudcat friends! GregF will be delighted to know that I am alive and well! Seriously, though, I am pleased that some of you folks voiced concerns and I really thought I had posted my plans during the summer but guess I failed to.

My wife and I left Arizona September 5th and flew to London via British Airways. We stayed in London five days taking some side trips and then joined a couple of other Arizona friends to tour the Lake country for a couple of days. Then we drove to Portsmouth and boarded the ferry for
France. Toured the Normandy coast, visited the cemeteries, and walked the beaches where most of the dead were killed. Then we drove down to the wee village, Athis-de-L'Orne, where my grandmother's family lived prior to immigrating to the U.S of A. just to say we had been there. We leave France for Arizona tomorrow.

Thanks, Joe Offer, for letting me know of my friend's concerns.

Till later,

Doug Richards (DougR)

Just the right sort of reason to disappear! I wish you a safe journey home...sounds like you already had the great adventure I would have wished for you earlier.

Welcome home.
Claire

GregF will be delighted to know that I am alive and well!

Indeed I am!

Just because I think you're an ignorant, hypocritical blowhard doesn't mean that I wish you dead.

Sounds like a great trip, Doug. Just finished The Steel Wave about the D day invasion, and I'd love to see the area. Travel back safely and we look forward to your posts.

Thanks, Doug. Glad to hear from you. Of course, you'll put my BP up soon as you say, "The Sky is Falling", but this would be a lesser place without you.

Who? Where's "France"? What's a "London"? Oh wait, I know! New London, near Hannibal, Missouri, right? Or the one in Connecticut?
