I wasn't very photogenic forty years ago, and have gone downhill since.

Let's see, forty years ago... I knew how to run the world, could solve all its problems and once I mastered The Bert Weedon Play in a Day book, might use my "axe" as a tool to eradicate dodgy governments and use my charisma to change the world.

Then my balls dropped.

Interesting, then I found being guitarist had other advantages. Sod the world, just allow it to move for me on a Saturday night..

Never been the same since, actually.

I was in a bar a few weeks back with an old friend. I saw another two guys and noticed how old and decrepit they both looked. I said to my friend, "That's us in twenty years." My friend replied, "You're looking at a mirror, dipshit!"

Some days it just don't pay to get outta bed.

Some 50-odd years ago (and some years were kind of odd). Bob (Deckman) Nelson and me, sort of "then and now."

40 years ago I had all my hair and teeth, didn't wear glasses or a hearing aid, wasn't on any medication and had a waist measurement less than my inside leg. I won't post photos in case it scares the horses.
Oh, and I couldn't sing or play an instrument (some things don't change!).

Will... "I wish" I was in a tenth of the shape I was in then. 4 or 5 hours on the squash court (yes, hours - never coming off -, with multiple opponents) was a walk in the park. Now, a walk in the park is a task. Wanna but some squash rackets? Real ones. Wood. Not those pansy graphite, aluminum, whatever the hell the robots make them out of now.
