May I suggest the addition of Jacqui Walker? There was an obit thread I recollect. Her band "the Chapmen" (There were of course others in it, including Dave Cooper on this thread and her surviving husband Barry Walker) was nearly signed by Transatlantic - but then the Young Tradition arrived.

And did I miss it? Dave Bryant should be on the list.

I've added an obit thread for Brian Moore, who has many mentions in Mudcat for songs he wrote, and as a member of an Irish political song group, The Men of No Property (later named The People of No Property). His death in 2011 was mentioned in a few Mudcat threads but I couldn't find any obit thread as such up to now:

John Kennedy, who died in 2019, has finally got his own thread! Thanks to Felipa for sorting that out. He was a lifelong musician from Ulster who was able to play a wide variety of instruments. I am pleased to be able to include him in this thread.

some Irish names not on the list yet - Seán Corcoran and Albert Fry, both singers and song collectors died this spring. John Moulden started an obit thread for Seán Corcoran and I did the same for Albert Fry. Also, very belatedly, singer songwriter Rosemary Woods died in Sept 2019 ( https://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=12778#102195 )

Joe was an Irish accordion player, Hannah an unaccompanied singer from Northumberland and Bun ran an influential folk club and bar in Brittany. Celebrate their achievements! RIP

Three additions to thread; Alan Moorhouse, John Thompson and Anne Feeney. Three great performers who delighted audiences wherever they performed. Alan in the UK and Germany, John Thompson with Cloudstreet and the Spooky Mens' Chorale among other ventures and Anne who was a self-confessed hellraiser singing songs for justice. Tom's funeral is tomorrow, 8th January at 1.30.pm UK time, and will be online: login details are on Facebook on the Glasgow Ballad Workshop 2020 group, which is a public group.
