Subject: Govanhill Baths to reopen From: Jack Campin Date: 04 Feb 12 - 08:25 AM Sad that Alistair Hulett didn't live to see it - the Govanhill Baths in Glasgow is to reopen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-16873557 Hulett put a huge amount of energy into the campaign and wrote at least a CD's-worth of songs in support of it. And finally, they won. |
Subject: RE: Govanhill Baths to reopen From: Jack Campin Date: 04 Feb 12 - 02:12 PM Can somebody get the loose cannon who just moved this to BS under control? The only reason I mentioned it was because of the connection to Alistair Hulett. Anybody who knew him or knows his work will know how important this was to him. The only followups it is ever likely to get will be related to Hulett and his songs. This is just bloody insulting to Hulett's memory. Cut it out. And if you don't have any idea what a posting is about, you can always ASK instead of behaving like an arrogant prat. |
Subject: RE: Govanhill Baths to reopen From: katlaughing Date: 04 Feb 12 - 07:30 PM Well, Jack, I'd say calm down, first, and give one of us a chance to respond. Secondly, more information about Hulett and his CDs, generosity, etc., in your original post would have been helpful. You read it here, first, we are not omniscient. Though I didn't move it to BS, I will move it back up, but I would urge you to share more about Hulett and I am going to add his name to the thread title. kat-mod |
