Seems that I have never had a place for all my CD's in their jewel cases so I purchased this system where the CD and cover go into a plastic sleeve which fits down on two rods and therefor a hundred CDs takes up no more space than ten... Over the years I have stashed the jewel cases with the rear art work in boxes and, well I now have the room for them (jewel cases and all) and have built a CD case 7 feet tall with (13) 33 inch shelves and in the midst of bringing order and re-marrying the correct cases with the CDs..

One box of jewel cases, of course, is missing but I'll find it...

The best part about this rediscovering CDs I'd long forgotten I had...

Seems I have quite a few I've found from Mudcatters so far:

Big Al Whittle
My main man, Bruce Murdock
Ol-ster
Allen Moorehouse
Sorcha Dorcha
Kendall

and a ton from Jerry Rasmussen...

This is all good and once they are all reunited with their original cases and rear cover art I'm going to devote one night a week to listening to just old CDs...

Heck of a job but when it's over it will be so gratifying...

B~

I had all of mine stored in plastic sleeves, artwork and all, in a zippered binder made for such, but it grew too heavy. So, I went on eBay and bought 400 CD changer and started the tedious job of loading them, one at a time, twisting the knobs to spell out the title, etc. Now, they are not in order as I've taken some out over the years to make a duplicate copy for the bedroom CD player, so...I have all of the covers, etc. alphabetized in an large index card file, just need to take out all the CDs, match them up, wipe the memory slate clean, somehow, on the changer, and re-enter them all. Phew...not sure when!;-)

Yeah, Kat, it is a challenge... The 400 CD changer is cool... I have well over a thousand...

Plus another 1500 of older LPs that I'd like to get digitized...

Oh, good lord, that'll make my Rog much happier about how many I have!LOL! I forgot to say, I think the majority of mine, at least a good portion, are Mudcatters. We only have a few LPs left, some 78s; I've got a couple hundred cassette taps, though, I'd like to get digitised, too. It's finding the time. Theoretically, I bring a box out to my desk, play them whilst working, all the while recording them using Audacity et voila! It's a good theory, eh?

You *WOULD* have to mention cassette tapes, Kat!!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

I've been so busy with the CD's I had forgotten the 500 of them I also have... Plus the 35 reel-to-reels...

I give up... Think I'll just say "screw it" and get drunk...
