Subject: BS: Stupid head contest From: Jon Corelis Date: 05 Mar 12 - 12:51 PM A prize, consisting of hearty congratulations, to whoever can explain the following oracular utterance: "When will his stupid head remember just how elegantly Edward erected roomy, healthy, happy homes?" Bonus question: what is the argument for revising the sentence to read, "When will his stupid, moronic, electrified hot-heads remember, just loving how elegantly Edward erected roomy, healthy, happy homes?" Jon Corelis Songs by William Blake |

Subject: RE: BS: Stupid head contest From: Richard Bridge Date: 05 Mar 12 - 01:43 PM Willy Willy had some horrible raspberry jam. He eventually eats every raspberry. He has hiccups. Edward eats raspberries. He hunts each most eagerly. Juicy creamy cultivated cranberry jam was Mary's archdelight. Greedy guzzling gorging George wanted very eagerly greengages ever green. Eek! |

Subject: RE: BS: Stupid head contest From: Jon Corelis Date: 05 Mar 12 - 03:17 PM Hearty congratulations to Jack for the first answer, and thanks for the further examples. No one so far has quite answered the bonus question, though it is rather obscure. It does have a determinable answer, though. Jon Corelis |

Subject: RE: BS: Stupid head contest From: TheSnail Date: 05 Mar 12 - 04:32 PM electrified - Stephen had a son Eugene(?) who he was setting up to succeed him but I think he died young so Matilda's (or Maud's) son Henry got the job. I came up with an explanation for hot-head but realised I'd got the wrong Henry. Trying to do this without googling. |
