Subject: Bob's Folk Show and The Lantern Society From: GUEST,Emma Hartley Date: 11 Apr 12 - 01:46 PM http://theglamourcave.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/bobs-folk-show-and-lantern-society.html Bob Meyer produces a folk radio show... but not as we know it. It's an underground hit and now he's started making CDs too. |

Subject: RE: Bob's Folk Show and The Lantern Society From: matt milton Date: 11 Apr 12 - 05:45 PM I've never got round to listening to his show. Keep meaning to. Lots of musicians I know are regularly featured. In fact, come to think of it, maybe that's why I've yet to get round to listening! Cos I hear a lot of those guys anyway (Ben F Thomas, Jack Day, Andy Hankdog, Josienne Clark et al) at Lantern Society, at Easycome Acoustic, and at Hankdog's Monday night jam (which is in my local pub). I've played at Lantern Society a fair few times meself. For a while they were recording each one, back when Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou were running it. I think my favourite performers from that scene are Flameproof Moth (aka the Boycott Coca Cola Experience) and Trent Miller. Both are great songwriters. |

Here's a bandcamp link to her album of all-traditional songs: http://josienneclarke.bandcamp.com/album/the-seas-are-deep |
