Subject: Check out this new talent From: GUEST,I Don,t Know Date: 20 Apr 12 - 07:19 AM Went to Kelvedon institute last night and had a wow moment when Dan Raza a young man from Bedfordshire took to the stage. Very shy with his inbetween chat but every song, self penned, and his guiter playing was presented with great passion, the album is FANTASTIC. Check out his web site WWW.danraza.com for more information. He was support for two other artists, Garrison Starr and Jay Nash, first time seeing them as well and both were really good. |

Subject: RE: Check out this new talent From: Big Al Whittle Date: 20 Apr 12 - 09:09 AM beat me to it Pete! All a bit consciously poetic in that Rod McKuen sort of way. Still some people will like him. |
Subject: RE: Check out this new talent From: matt milton Date: 20 Apr 12 - 09:42 AM He goes to the Lantern Society night at the Betsey Trotwood in London a lot. Part of a loose scene of musicians such as Trent Miller, Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou, Flameproof Moth, Josienne Clarke, Ben Folke Thomas, Jack Day and many more. Of that bunch, I think Flameproof Moth (formerly known as the Boycott Coca Cola Experience) and Trent Miller are the most interesting acts. Equally, of the same scene, I imagine Mudcatters would probably like what Josienne Clarke does more, it's more "proper folk": http://josienneclarke.bandcamp.com/album/the-seas-are-deep |
