Subject: BS: Weird damn dream this morning
From: GUEST,josepp

I kept waking up and falling back to sleep around 4 or 5 this morning and I would keep having this recurring dream. I dreamed I was watching Jersey Shore and one of the cast had a crwth--the Welsh bowed instrument--and they were having this big argument over how it was supposed to be played.

The even weirder thing is that I have NEVER seen Jersey Shore--ever. I think it's on MTV which I haven't watched since it was a music video channel--that's how long it's been since I've seen MTV. I don't know why I would dream that I was watching a program I've never seen and never will see no matter how long it manages to stay on the air. That was weird. And everytime I feel back to sleep, they would continue to argue over how a crwth is supposed to be played.

There was no other context to the dream. I don't where I was watching it, what time it was, why I was watching it...I was like a detached, passive observer with no history and no future. I was just there, just watching the creeps on Jersey Shore arguing over how to play a crwth. For that matter, I'm not sure how I knew it was Jersey Shore that I was watching but I just know that's what it was.

Fucking TV. I feel like Mr. Thoth in "The Crying of Lot 49": "This filthy machine, it invades your dreams."

You're obviously in serious need of a psychiatrist. My dreams are all logical and plausible, with well constructed plot lines.

I would never lie to anyone about anything like that.

Repeated viewings of the new Three Stooges movie will redistribute your disturbed synapses and resolve the problem.

One question, though. Did the caste actually look like the caste of this program you've never seen? (I've never seen it either.) You should probably watch an old episode of Jersey Shore now to find out if your dream is accurate in its depiction of the caste. If so, it would raise some interesting questions. Does your dream reality allow you to visit Earthly realities you have not yet visited in your waking life? And if so, how? Do dreams have an omniscient power? And if so, could we use them to find Jimmy Hoffa, solve the various 911 mysteries, get Americans to stop obsessing about gay marriage, and persuade Mudcatters to stop fighting about politics?

Could your dreams, josepp, be instrumental in saving the world as we know it???

I hadn't realized that the caste system in Hollywood was in such prominence.

It's always been pretty prominent, if you ask me. And let me tell you, it's not easy to attain the uppermost echelons, even if you are blessed with incredible talent and amazingly good looks. I had to work hard to get there.

That's true. It's all those lonesome years in the highlands that did it to me. Too many sheep. Too little human companionship.

When I first glanced at the title I read Welch bowel movement.

Okay, so my last night's masterpiece:

I was a non-involved observer as an elderly, but apparently able-bodied, woman went up a shipboard stairway to meet the pope. She met the pope at about the top of the stairs, but didn't recognize her, probably because she was wearing ordinary, if slightly flamboyant, street clothes and a prominent blond hairdo. Her (the pope's) identity was promptly established (not quite sure how) and, as the two women walked out of sight, the pope mentioned that the blond hair was actually a wig, as she keeps her head shaved. The apparent duration of the whole thing wasn't much more than a couple of minutes, but it was...interesting....
