Subject: BS: YES - the queen, and cognitive dissonance From: GUEST,petecockermouth Date: 06 Jun 12 - 04:41 AM When i was a youth I used capital letters and YES were my favourite band. Like supporting a football team i had no time for ELP, Deep Purple or rubbish like Led Zeppelin or Hendrix. i went to a long-awaited gig at the Kelvin Hall Glasgow to see them perform the new album -Tales from the Topographic Oceans. a real stinking pile of ludicrous, pretentious nonsense. following this revelatory moment i was freed up to enjoy the glories of hendrix and many others and more than ready to be blown away by the damned on the first punk uk tour (pistols banned just about everywhere) Anyway,i was just wondering if anyone watching the emperor's old clothes show in london at the weekend had a similar moment - what is all this about? (spooky -4 sides of overblown junk on the YES album -4 days of babbling inanity on the BBC) cognitive dissonance anyone? |

The bit in Elizabeth when someone fires apoison arrow at her. Bit boring though - didn't watch it. Saw it on the news. A friend of mine was on a boat with Weymouth Sea Scouts, and he put a picture of his dog and her security pass on Facebook. But he wasn't on telly. |
