Subject: BS: Forget dot com and dot org? From: JohnInKansas Date: 18 Jun 12 - 05:02 PM Some may have heard that quite a few new site name extensions may be appearing soon. For quite a few, their awareness may be limited to recollections that there was quite a bit of argument about whether to add a .XXX domain a while back, but the system has opened up more than most may know. As information for the interested, an article from PC Magazine (Ziff Davis) offers a quick look at some of the new "domain names" that have been requested or registered for the pending expansion. Popular new domain names A usual (for ZD and others) it's a flip-chart "infomercial" that doesn't really say much, but might be of interest - and even a bit humorous. Have fun - if you care(?). Maybe we should think up some we'd actually like to see. (Spaw probably has already got PHART?) John |
