There's gotta be someone already workin' on this tune. A gentle giant reborn after countless ages frozen in the cold cold north ... he's his own Mother and Father, he's a clone, he's all alone, darn those 'anti-cloners' anyway, wooly's back and he means to stay, etc., etc.

CNN and Time will poll the US public with the 'deep' philiosophical question; "Should we clone the frozen Wooly?" but Mudcatters will write the song of Wooly's adevntures! Of course we should clone him ... how else can we write his tale? Or do I mean right his tale, or better yet; right his tail!

In case you're wondering what Liam's talking about, read one story about the Jarkov Mammoth here.

Do you suppose he would be afraid of my cloned mice?

"Oh, give me a clone,
Of my mammoth who roams
'Neath Siberia's tundra and ice
He's furry and strong
And twenty feet long
But seems to be frightened of mice..."

Chorus:

"home home and deranged
now the years and the seasons have changed
he has no friends around, but he's glad he's been found
though his own DNA's rearranged"

chuckle - sorry MMario ....

I actually left a print out of the Web news story in the Mens room, so my collegues would be able to consider the merits of the story while they sit in their favorite work related 'reading' room.

De nada - I already have the rep...and I'd rather get the laughter and have the rep then be considered "normal" anyway

Well I've got a song on my site "Everybody must get cloned", with a line "They'll clone you cos they like your woolly hair". I wrote it back in 97, but it'll likely enough get a few mammoth features soon enough.

The Cloning Song
