Sorry for this thread being a tad parochial.

My coop (2 members) is checking out pubs in the West/Central London area for our annual Christmas lunch. We are keen to try somewhere new each year, but everywhere we have looked so far this year has either been very expensive, or the pubs have not had a very nice ambiance.

So....

Any recommendations?

Criteria:

(1) Traditional main course
(2) Variety of starters/desserts
(3) Cost up to £20/head
(4) Short walking distance from public transport so I can leave my car at home
(5) West London/Middlesex/West-Central London

Try Wetherspoons - some of their pubs offer Christmas Day lunches. Ours does in Harlow, but that's a bit far away for you. But there might b eone in your part of the world that does it.

I can't help with your quest, but this should bump you back up the list so that someone more local may spot it.

Meanwhile I am intrigued by the concept of a two person co-op, would you care to expand on that at all?

We are a worker co-operative, ie a business that is owned and controlled by its employees. It differs from a partnership in that the assets are indivisible, i.e. noone can personally benefits from the sale or disposal of assets is the business is dissolved. Similar, the business cannot be sold as a going concern. if a member leaves (stops working) for a coop he or she has no claim to any of the coop's assets.

Also as a coop we are driven by established principles and values.

Thank you for pandering to my curiosity.
