Subject: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Stringsinger Date: 18 Oct 12 - 12:08 PM Are you sure you want this man to become president? Read this and weep. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-federal-bailout-that-saved-mitt-romney-20120829 This is what Greg Palast calls "vulture capitalism". |

Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: GUEST,TIA Date: 18 Oct 12 - 12:59 PM And the (possibly?) best explanation for why Romney is willing to risk the huge PR problem from not disclosing tax returns? The disclosure must be concealing something that would be even worse PR. Here is one possibility. I wish someone would ask him directly about it. http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2012/07/17/romney_s_tax_returns_is_the_2009_swiss_bank_account_amnesty_what_he_doesn_t_want_us_to_see_.html |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Greg F. Date: 18 Oct 12 - 02:15 PM the (possibly?) best explanation for why Romney is willing to risk the huge PR problem from not disclosing tax returns? Hubris. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 02:17 PM Romney is getting by amazingly easy on his business past. The MSM fix is in. It reminds me of the coverage of Bush's race to war in Iraq. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: GUEST,TIA Date: 18 Oct 12 - 02:20 PM At least there is a source for information on his tax plan: http://www.romneytaxplan.com/ |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: gnu Date: 18 Oct 12 - 02:38 PM JtS... "MSM fix"? Re the OP... are 'you' shittin me? What a dirtbag! What a lyin, cheatin, smarmy piece a shit! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 02:52 PM Yeah they are totally swinging for Romney. Do you think a Canadian politician would get away with saying he was not responsible for a company's actions when he was signing official documents as the owner, chairman and CEO. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: gnu Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:05 PM Jts... if a Canuck PM can get away with taking an envelope stuffed with cash from a German lobbyist in a hotel room in a 50M dollar scam... ? Well, you may as well go golfing on - cue The Price Is Right announcer - your NEW GOLF COURSE! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:16 PM I note the date on that is August 29th. What's going on that this hasn't been hung round Romney's neck every place he appears? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:23 PM That story and many others get no traction other than the initial reports. "Fact checkers" let Romney get away with things like saying he balanced the budget for the Salt Lake City Olympics without mentioning the 1.6 billion dollar FEDERAL GOVERNMENT bailout. He is selling us a puffed up resume and totally getting away with it. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:29 PM "Fact checkers" let Romney get away with things like... How so? Are they in Romney's employ? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:33 PM One would think that they are not. Like I said, it is like the lead up to the Iraq war. Reporters, editors, news organizations have made up their minds on Romney's resume and refuse to open themselves to new data. One would think that someone who drones on about the evil of bailouts would get a certain level of reporting about taking advantage of bailouts. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Feds bail out Romney, a crooked deal From: GUEST,TIA Date: 18 Oct 12 - 04:46 PM Not in his employ, but so cowed by FOX and Limbaugh, etc. into fear of being labelled "biased" that they have to make it look like both candidates are equally dishonest. So, if they don't have something equally huge on Obama, they won't try to pin it on Romney. |
