After the news at 8pm there is an illustrated interview with Chris Foster who performed in Lewes last Thursday and then some tracks from new albums from artists who have appeared in out area in recent months. After the news at 8pm, it will the cold followed by the hot as first of all my Studio guest Bára Grímsdóttir will be giving us an introduction to the musical traditions of Iceland and then in the last 40 minutes of the programme, I will be concentrating on the country with the richest of all the African traditions and with many of the finest musicians. Mali and I will be trying to explain how recent political change and incursions by outsiders is threatening that tradition.
