Subject: RE: Tech: Shockwave Plugin Crashing From: GUEST,punkfolkrocker Date: 07 Nov 12 - 08:34 AM This was a known problem some months ago that seems to have been sorted out via updates. Have you tried manually updating Chrome by clicking the top right corner button and then selecting "About Google Chrome" Otherwise an earlier suggested 'work around' was to open a new tab and paste about:plugins then hit 'Enter' and then manually disable earlier versions of shockwave if you find more than one installed... As it was so long ago I cant remember how effective a solution that may have been ? |
Subject: Tech: Shockwave Plugin Crashing From: wilbyhillbilly Date: 07 Nov 12 - 04:15 AM I've been running WinXP with Google Chrome browser for ages now and it has been fine until this last week. Every day now I get the message "shockwave plugin has stopped" then a couple of seconds later "shockwave plugin has crashed", then obviously the images on the pages end up blacked out. I then reboot and for a while it's ok again, but can still happen again later. Has anyone else got this problem and is there a way round it please? |
