From: Acorn4 Date: 28 May 13 - 03:18 AM I've heard a singer called Mitch do this and think that he probably wrote it but not absolutely sure on this. He's a regular at the Kiveton Park Folk Club, near Sheffield. Haven't actually got his contact details but the club organisers can probably put you in touch:- John Rankin:- john.leslie.rankin@btinternet.com tel:0114 2489503 |

Subject: RE: Lyrics reqd - flatpack furniture blues? From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 29 May 13 - 04:29 PM Look, this is driving me mad! I've hunted all over the net and Googles myself silly, but I can't find the LYRICS to this song. PLEASE would SOMEBODY write them down here, or I shan't sleep tonight!!! Subject: RE: Lyrics reqd - flatpack furniture blues? From: Backwoodsman Date: 29 May 13 - 04:43 PM Is that George Hill who used to go to No Smoke Foke in Chapeltown? |
Subject: RE: Lyrics reqd - flatpack furniture blues? From: GUEST,Musket sans Ian Date: 29 May 13 - 04:53 PM Seems a connection here. I used to go to no smoke with Mitch. He wrote many songs but did do songs by others. I assumed he wrote it but there again I never asked. I do many of his but sadly not that one. I haven't seen him since they were guests at my wedding the other year. I moved into North Lincolnshire and just about lost touch. Going to ring at the weekend. We have been good mates 35 years so about time I went over to Worksop. I think it is on a CD I have of him somewhere. |
