Last year this time I thought that Carolina needed to spend big money on a top corner back. But look how the D drops off when they are out. Much better to have lots of good fast players and rotate them.

Looks like the SuperBowl will be the Best passing team against the best Secondary. I hope the weather is good in New York.

If the Denver D plays like this, I think it will be a boring game.

Go Big Orange! The D came through and Peyton hung tough. Looking forward to the SB48. Big O versus Big D, the Legend vs the Brilliant Upstart, lots of stories to keep the Press busy in the next 2 weeks. I saw a lot of character in Denver this game and am beginning to feel good about their chances. How will Wilson handle the pressure of Ultimate Game?

If it is fairly dry and above freezing, I think Denver will win fairly easily. They will rely on short passes and the run but they can score on Seattle. I don't think Seattle will score much on them.

Lots of panthers playing, Most of them are playing AGAINST Rivera and the coaching staff. Should be interesting. Ideal conditions for Newton, Kuechly and Tolbert to shine. But, I'll probably watch a quarter or two because I am curious about the new format. But with everyone but the QBs going at 3/4 speed, its usually a pretty dull game.

BTW... Joe likes the Broncos. But he maintains it's the guys in the pits that win the game. The front lines. I agree... that's where it starts or falls apart. And, yes, I know it's far more complicated than that in this sport which is more a game of chess than physical prowess. But, no QB can be a "consistent" hero witout a good front line... scrablers included. 'Ceptin maybe Fran The Man.

Last game he played Russell, scrambled back 30 yards a couldn't throw it back to the line of scrimmage.

I like Peyton and Welker against the pass rush, Peyton gets it out so fast some times he wouldn't need blockers.

The Forecast looks very Peyton friendly I'm glad. I'm looking forward to the best against the best.

I seem all and sommat just occured to me. The two worst were both losses by Denver. I always say I just wanna see some good football but that doesn't mean by just one of the teams.

Pete and his team did an amazing job all season. Kinda fun to watch a 62 year old man act like a little kid. I could feel the elation he displayed so genuinely and unabashedly.

I was up close and personal to the game ... you could see the stink fumes rolling off Denver ... sure glad I got tickets for free ...

terrible football game, didn't like the halftime show ... I thought it would be a great game. I have to go back to the Buffalo Bills playing the cowboys to see a game that bad.

Gave up after part of the half-time show. Denver was un-prepared; and no way they could come back in the 2nd half.

The halftime show had a bunch of what looked like drug addicts in a frenzy, jumping around and making noise. Not music and not comedy- ugh!

Switched to the BBC News channel; more entertaining.

Was that really the same Pete "Deer in Headlamps" Carroll who used to coach New England. We've had a long string of close Superbowls while BBC were carrying it in the UK. This year it was back on Channel 4, so we were back to lop-sided games. The look of sheer horror on Peyton Manning's face when the snap sailed over his head on the first play said it all.

I musta talked to 20 people today who said it was such a crappy game that they didn't watch the whole thing.

There was no doubt in my mind that the crowd was in favour of the Seahawks but it would have made no difference at the start of the game because the crowd is gonna be loud no matter who they are cheering for. As for the bad snap, Ramirez said, and I can understand, :

"It was real loud. We were trying to go on the cadence. I thought I heard him. I didn't. He was actually walking up to me because he had already said the cadence, and I snapped it. But again, I take full responsibility for that. It's just something that we should have been able to overcome. and we weren't able to ... It's not an excuse. It shouldn't have happened.

I went into the game focused. That wasn't the issue at all. We were backed up into the end zone and they were loud."
