There it is. It's up to you to take it out of the house. We have a car so you will have to deliver it. We live in PEI. (I live in NB.) Okay. $100 for the couch and $200 for delivery. NO WAY! I could get that delivered for $50. So, do it. How much will you take if we have to get someone to deliver it? $500. Or leave and don't contact me again. This conversation is over. Please leave. Well, you just said $300 which is still way too much. Yeah, and you said no, so the price is now $500. Just leave, please. BTW, it's a nice leather fold out couch worth twice what I am asking. |

Subject: RE: BS: Rant... why don't people speak properly? From: Ed T Date: 09 May 15 - 05:59 PM Good personal communication is a two way street. It is an art, not a science, and benefits from experience and constant "tweeking" for different folks and situations. Like with most things in life, you have to tune into where the other person is during a conservation, not where you are ( at tgat point in time) or you wish the other folkn to be. What you describe seems clear to me, the mystery folks are at a F'n Casino, not a church. If they are lucky, are feeling lucky, or have a wad of cash to blow, their minds are obvioysly not where you are at this point in time. No gain in freting, stoping life or taking it the wrong way and being "up tight" about it? It just raises your blood pressure, increases the liklihood of a bad ending, or a misread of the other folks. If you live close by, why not compromise and call over where the folks are? Or, alternatively, you define a clear meeting time and meeting point-and it may work out better for everyone. Regardless, it beats stewing in your own "vapours" priming you up for a "poor and wasted time, not a good time". |

Subject: BS: Rant... why don't people speak properly? From: gnu Date: 09 May 15 - 05:21 PM What time will you be here? We can leave soon. What time will you be here? We are at the Casino NB. What time will you be here? We are just up at the Casino so it won't be long. I am leaving in one half hour. Can you be here in fifteen minutes? Yes. We'll leave now. See you when you get here. $%*&*&% ME! Why? I spend a tenth of my life asking people to answer the fucking question. There. I don't feel better. |
