There isn't a God... That isn't Folk. Oh yes it is. That isn't Folk. Oh yes it is. That isn't Folk. Oh yes it is... Oh yes there is |
Subject: RE: A theme song for Mudcat ??? From: GUEST Date: 22 May 15 - 07:52 PM How about The Sad Cafe? Oh, it seemed like a holy place, protected by an amazing grace, and we would sing right out loud the things we could not say. We thought we could change this world with words like love and freedom. We were part of the lonely crowd inside the sad cafe. |
Subject: RE: A theme song for Mudcat ??? From: GUEST,# Date: 22 May 15 - 08:42 PM 1) Neat article on music and its use to help win wars. http://parlorsongs.com/issues/2004-4/thismonth/feature.php 2) The 1961 'Ghost Town' may have made its way across the Atlantic, but it did so unbeknownst to me. |

Subject: RE: A theme song for Mudcat ??? From: cnd Date: 22 May 15 - 10:38 PM There are different themes for different parts of it. For situations like Bert suggested, I suggest Fuedin' Banjos, preferably the Lester Flatt version, or Don Reno's version would work as well. Of course, some of the arguments can seem to bear a similar feeling to the name of this song. Of course, other times, this site makes me feel like a song by Mac Wiseman, called I Like Good Blue Grass; a gem which is sadly not on Youtube. Of course, once you get on here, you can often feel yourself singing classic by Flatt and Scruggs: Loafer's Glory And the music here is always Music (Country Style), such as sung. When you first get on the site and leave a comment, someone comes along and says, Come On In and make yourself at home. Whatever happens, to you and me it will always be The Old Home Place, as sung by The Dillards. Once you get there you're liable to Stay All Night. Now, by this point, you may realize your addiction. You may even say, "I Ain't Wastin' Time no more!" Maybe you're Lookin' For a Reason to stay here. But, despite your best intentions, You Ain't Goin' Nowhere. Sorry for the long and rambling message. Now I must say, "I'm Movin' On." In all seriousness, though, I have no clue. |
