Subject: RE: BS: Vidal to preserve gander From: Dave the Gnome Date: 30 Sep 15 - 08:16 AM I don't think The Motors used bagpipes. Or geese. |
Subject: RE: BS: Vidal to preserve gander From: Ebbie Date: 30 Sep 15 - 11:06 PM I happen to like bagpipes (although not necessarily indoors) but I agree that geese are so equipped. When I was a young'un on the farm, my mother reared all manner of fowl, including a large gaggle of geese. They were frequently mean and always messy. The worst was at noontime when my mother would tell me to call Dad and the other men in from the fields. Our house was on a high knoll and the fields were below. Had everything been quiet the men could have heard my call. Instead, when I called Daddy! Daddy! the geese out of sight below the steep slow would respond hahahhahahahahahha!. Not able to hear the men's response and not sure they had heard me, I would have to descend the slope and call again: Daddy! Daddy! Hahhahahahahhah! Repeat. |
