I took it that your opening post was announcing your departure from Mudcat. It is clear (to me) that others also interpreted it in this way, some even celebrating the fact. The connection with Team Musket is that they haven't made an appearance since the back end of August and you were, perhaps, going to join them.

Have you got just the one leg and are you longish?

Gnomes are, surely by definition, shortish. Perhaps you are Short John Silver, Long John's vertically challenged cousin?

That (although I'm not sure I agree with your observation)does not alter the fact that the very people who complain most frequently about personal attacks are often the very same people who start the process off.

If people do not want personal attacks on themselves it would seem logical not to make personal attacks against other people in the first instance.

As a dispassionate observer who attempts to address the issues rather than the issuer I would say your imagination can take a rest. They do.

This is analogous to the observable and measurable phenomenon of kiddies fighting (and not so kiddy too). Child A pushes Child B who pushes Child A who etc. But there is a discrepency between what the pusher feels and what the pushed feels. As a result the force grows at about 70% per push until the parents or biceptual limits interveen.

You can see it in threads. But to be honest, it is the responsibility of the messenger to phrase adequately, and the reader to interpret correctly. Angry people don't usually use emoticons.
