I'm blowed if I want to let a Man U fan have the last word, but what can I do! "> LOL Yes we do like to have the last word don't we. Went last night. About the best I've seen them play this year - which is not saying much. Looks like we will have to remove Shrewsbury from the FA Cup as Sheffield Wednesday failed. Sorry Musket !!! Cheers Mike |
Subject: RE: BS: All inclusive holidays From: akenaton Date: 03 Feb 16 - 12:21 PM I quite like the idea of "inclusive holidays", but would prefer to holiday in the UK, as we don't much like the idea of flying. We are also non drinkers .....so can you have a special rate for TT people? |

Subject: RE: BS: All inclusive holidays From: Ed T Date: 03 Feb 16 - 06:26 PM Ok, now that the bickering is over. My wife and enjoy both all inclusive and other variations of vacations. Each April we go to Dominican Republic for a week of two. After tears of searching, we have found a hastle-free, all-inclusive hotel we love, with the friendliest staff where we exclusively go to relax. We have always met new friends at this lication, with no issues with other guests. We do take other vacations, where we meet locals, visit sites etc. But, in this location, we reserve to unwind and stay put - we eat well, go to the beach, sit by the pool, have good drinks, enjoy participating in the sports, joke with the staff and enjoy the entertainement. It has been 6 years that we visited this vacation spot. Since we have already visited most of the local sites, we have no desire to move beyond. Two weeks can seem a bit long at one location. Some folks arrange a two location vacation, a week at either. That seems like a good alternative to me. While the experiebce varues by location, and hotel, all inclusive is not for everyone, but we like it. |
Subject: RE: BS: All inclusive holidays From: Steve Shaw Date: 03 Feb 16 - 06:32 PM I have good friends who have spent several happy all-inclusive holidays in the Dominican Republic, Ed. I wonder whether you ever bumped into Shane and Wendy from Cornwall... ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: All inclusive holidays From: Ed T Date: 03 Feb 16 - 06:51 PM Actually, we have met a few nice people from Cornwall at this hotel (and, earlier in Cuba), but not by those names. One memorable gent, skinny but fit, wore a cowboy type hat and speedo swim trunks, he said he was 78. Women on the beach indicated to me that he actually still looked good and wore it well (not the hat). :) |
