Subject: BS: Mercury Transit 2016 (astronomy) From: OldPossum Date: 09 May 16 - 07:01 AM For any armchair astronomers who might be interested:
"Mercury will cross the sun's face from Earth's perspective Monday (May 9) for the first time since 2006, and the last until 2019." |
Subject: RE: BS: Mecury Transit 2016 (astronomy) From: Rapparee Date: 09 May 16 - 08:46 AM I'd be more excited if I didn't know for an absolute fact that all "space photos" are fakes. The entire proposition that there is something or someplace other than Earth is absurd. We wise men and women know that. Also, things fall downward because that is their nature - gravity, as we all know, is just a theory because if all that was true then the Moon would go around the Sun because the Sun is more massive than the Earth and all you have to do is look up at the night sky and you can see that's false. Y'all are just a bunch of dag-slab liberals! (NASA has some nice photos, BTW.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Mecury Transit 2016 (astronomy) From: Stu Date: 09 May 16 - 02:46 PM I thought a Mercury Transit was a type of van popular in the 1950s. |
