Subject: BS: Sprouts or no? From: Stanron Date: 24 Dec 16 - 12:35 PM I recently had a Brussels Sprouts revelation. Sweet, not soggy, sprouts in under five minutes. I thought I'd share. Chop off the stem and remove enough leaves to get a clean looking sprout. Make two cuts, at 90 degrees, in the base that go halfway through the sprout. Place in a lidded microwaveable dish with just a dash of water, say two tablespoons full. Microwave for 3 minutes and try one. The time might vary with the amount of sprouts in the dish. If they are underdone try another minute. So much nicer than boiling. Happy Years end. |
