For anyone here planning to attend this year's New England Folk Festival in Mansfield, Massachusetts, USA, and were expecting to visit the Folk Legacy booth, we will not be there this year. We received an email from those running NEFFA stating that the Folk Bazaar, of which we are part, will not be running this year. As of this writing, only two vendors from the Folk Bazaar will be there, both selling attire for the dance community. We have had a regular group of customers visiting us each year and we will miss you.

I used to go for the music, pay way too much to get in, and then not make it to anything because I'd keep running into people. I always got to the bazaar, though, and always bought something. It was part shop and part art gallery. More negatives than positives, and I don't think I'll be going again.

No Folk Bazaar? What on earth are they thinking??
I have never paid to go to NEFFA- I've always been involved with a morris team or workshop. This year, Hunt and I are giving 2 workshops on Friday, but there are some upcoming changes in our lives that will likely prevent or cut down on future involvement. It's too bad.

It is sad. For years now, NEFFA has been one of the two festivals I've attended, each year. It's been a great opportunity to share music & reconnect with friends. Folk Legacy has been a big part of that community. I can't imagine what they're thinking!

The person who was running the Bazaar, at least when we were last there, was not young. Perhaps she cannot handle it any more and no one else volunteered?

We/CAMSCO stopped going to NEFFA several years ago. The "new" location of several years ago may be better for the dancers, but has not worked as well for the vendors.

I'm sorry about the bazaar. I will probably go at least part of it, but I have a conflict on Saturday night and possibly one other thing that weekend.
