I'm not sure what frightens me the most, the brutish ruthlessness of the man or the mindless adulation of his supporters.
It's fairly unique for the election of a President to be greeted with immediate world-wide and spontaneous protests, but what is more unique as a total refusal of those supporters to even discuss his policies, let alone defend them.
I'm glad I'm not going to be around to see the mess he is likely to make of the planet, if he allowed to.

I see the UK in a tremendously weak position with regard to the US and in fact in exactly the position Trump says in his book is ideal for his side to get maximum advantage from.

So why the confidence in a good trade deal?

As far as the career politicians are concerned it is still all about reversing the result of the referendum....by any means at their disposal, fair or foul.

Leaving the EU with good trade deals worldwide will enable governments to bring back jobs, put an end to reliance on immigrant labour and instigate proper training programmes for our school leavers. Again, Remoaners are not going to like it, a life on derisory benefits will not be an option. The NHS will be reformed so that it can no longer be abused by everyone. Taxation rates for enterprise will be lowered and taxation rates on the wealthy middle classes....that's you! will be raised. These actions are required if we are serious about changing our society......to do nothing will end in disaster.

Mr Corbyn's socialists will form an opposition which will remain as such for the next couple of decades until the "liberals" gain some sense of reality and start to work for a sustainable society.
