Subject: Southern Harvest Published From: RTim Date: 01 Mar 17 - 05:41 PM Today I received my newly re-published song book - "Southern Harvest" - English Folk Songs from the Hammond and Gardiner Manuscripts - the combined Frank Purslow books - Constant Lovers and Foggy Dew. It is great to have these update books with a lot more information on the songs, etc - incl. singer Bios. I am still going to keep my old copies, even though they are falling apart!! Subject: RE: Southern Harvest Published From: Joe Offer Date: 02 Mar 17 - 02:20 AM Glad to see this. I really liked the reissues of Marrow Bones and Wanton Seed, and wanted to complete my collection. The price of shipping to the U.S. isn't bad. I added a copy of Shout Kernow for almost no increase in shipping cost - I hope the Kernow book something I should have? -Joe- I didn't know the significance of "Southern Harvest" when I saw the thread title. I added "Purslow reissue" to the thread title in hope that would be understandable to more people. Any objection to the thread title change? -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Southern Harvest Published (Purslow reissues) From: Steve Gardham Date: 06 Mar 17 - 04:23 PM The publishers are still looking for a US distributor for the books Wanton Seed and Southern Harvest. I gave them what was Dick's Camsco contact details but they tell me they received no replies. Anyone Stateside got any other suggestions? There seems to be plenty of copies of Marrow Bones left at EFDSS so perhaps a deal could be struck for all 3 books. There is to be a launch of the new book in Sheffield on the 31st of this month, presumably at the Shakespeare again. This is apart from the promotional concerts being conducted all around the country. |
