Jinky, Jingy, Jinkey .... I think we're all putting too much emphasis on the spelling of the written name ... this was an oral nickname.... perhaps it just depends how you hear it spoken.

this is great, just happened to come across this video, I'm related to jinky he's my dad's 1st cousins 3x removed. whatever chandler says he was generally known as jinky not jingy

I believe that Keith Chandler has done considerable research on Mr. Wells - and that his nickname was - "Jingy".........as in thread title. His given names were William Nathan Wells.

Can anyone help me locate a copy of Folktrax's CD (or download) of FTX-384 - CONSTANT BILLY - William "Jinkey" Wells?

According to the archived Folktrax website Topic Records have the originals but they only seem to be releasing excerpts on compilations and they haven't replied to my enquiry about the availability of the complete recording.

What happened to Camsco Music?

I am happy to pay for it!
