well......we nearly had Boris as PM, after the referendum. it was only Gove's leadership challenge that scuppered Boris.

He must have been a flipping nightmare to work for when he was Education Sec.

Still theres not many that do walk away from that can of worms with any honour. In my time I can only think of John MacGregor, who had the guts to tell Thatcher that her national curriculum plans were a load of crap. Then he was despatched to Northern Ireland to pay him out.

You can judge from his response to the indication from China, where a huge proportion of out plastic waste goes to be recycled, that they are no longer going to accept foreign waste. When questioned he admitted that he hadn't given it enough thought.

I bet it still gets taken on ships part way so that the ships don't go back completely empty. China may be becoming more affluent to the point of outsourcing their services. Maybe picking-up materials from the intermediate countries for the last leg.

Ship owners don't like empty holds.

Maybe they don't like Gove for that reason.
