I saw both Pete and Phil at Fleetwood just before they went on their travels. Both in fine form.

Unfortunately it clashes with my son's rapper practice. He dances for Medlock Rapper and Four Corners Rapper.

It is Mike. Both Dave W and I have moved away but Ged and Sue still run the show. I am sure you would be more than welcome but check it is a singers night to be sure of a spot. Guests are once a month - usually first Monday I think.

Is Swinton still on a Monday?

Great song. Never been to Skipton but I used to go to Swinton and I used to live in Swindon!

People drive round the 'Magic Roundabout'. Recognise a lot of the people on the Skipton 'what's on' - small world isn't it? I think I have been to Skipton FC once a long time ago

Hahaha! :-D

Funnily enough, I moved to near Skipton. Only 2 letters different to Swinton and has a Monday night folk club. I think I am following a pattern! What goes on in Swindon on a Monday? :-)

I probably was, Nick! I used to be doorman and beer tester in chief at the Lion :-) I moved away about 5 years ago and do not get there often now but the last time, a couple of months back, was to a 'Pete Ryder and friends' night. He is as good as ever :-) His 'friends' nights are one Friday a month but not sure which - There is a 'Pete Ryder and friends' facebook page if you want to keep in touch.

First time I met him was at Swinton folk club. I think you were there too, Dave. He gave me a CD about a year later so I learnt it and have sang and played it many times since and made many friends with the song which never passes without comment. Not because of my playing but the brilliance of the song :)

Hot off the (YouTube) press

Nat Shapio's time

"The legendary Pete Ryder sings his stellar composition 'Nat Shapiro's Time' accompanied by Phil on acoustic lead etc. Recorded late at night in the basement of 25 Smelio, Vilnius, Lithuania 8/9/18. Thanks to Steph & Sara."
