It is as though not believing something is a natural state of mind for half of us. The smaller 20% can follow suggestions that create a novel behavior or a newly imagined order.

Not believing the number 7 exists, blocking a memory, causes a person to make up an easily accepted excuse ( a conspiracy theory) to rationalize their experience.

NPR reported that his family has been distressed by this man's mental state for decades, that they weren't able to get him the medical and psychiatric attention he needed (he refused). His stance and noise are totally in opposition to the views of the rest of his family - sounds like he's acting out in a couple of ways here. When Trump unequivocably proclaimed I am a Nationalist, over and over That was the signal to loose the dogs of hell and white Nationalists to show their strength. He will say what he needs to say to popularize himself with any wider base. He will not cancel more rallies but will increase them. He says mass shooters will pay the ultimate price but nothing of the victims. When asked how this will stop he said 'they' didn't have any security they wanted to save costs.

It has come to mind half the people on mudcat have associations with nationalism from the time they were kids. It lives within them either silently or as an old normality. Some are practically rabid.

So the real killing now begins. This year the 247 mass shootings have passed a threshold. I have warned directly and obliquly for 20 years with a fist and make no mistake, I won't be missed but I can not associate with the nationalists here.

I see this too often - a perp who is mentally handicapped, who commits crimes past his abilities, and nobody asks who put him up to it. Who planted the motive and taught him the method?
