I met a Jeff Chase, a Canadian, in 1961 in Istanbul. He said he had Woody Guthrie's guitar and I believe he went on to be a producer and worked with Leanard Cohen. An old resurfaced letter has kindled my interest in this man and wonder if anyone has any information on a Canadian called Jeff Chase.

Iains, yes I found that and it fits the person I'm looking of. I wrote to Slvie Simmons, Leonard Cohen's biographer but she not sure whether he still alive or not as he seems to have kept a low profile.

That's quite a curious blog. Someone sure doesn't like Leonard Cohen ... !
