I don't have an Advent Calendar, so I shall leave a treacle pudding and custard in every cupboard and will open cupboard doors instead !!!!!!!!!

I like this idea.

Takes a fair bit of organising and a lot of people who don't mind lots of strangers turning up to their house though.

Good reminder - I usually pick them up at Aldi and give them to the kids. They're grown, but they still enjoy the chocolate.

My husband loves making things, and we have a wooden house with 24 doors with space behind for mini packs of sweets or chocolate: it's all painted red, green and yellow. This year he made a new device: in the shape of a Christmas tree with 24 wee bags hanging off it, in which can go similar treats.

Bonzo,

That seems a bit off-pudding...

Add a vent for each cupboard to get rid of the smell, I guess......

There was a good one combined with the Christmas Tavern thread back in 2009, I believe, but the best one EVER was the Mudcat Advent Calendar 2005

When my grands were younger, I'd buy their family an advent calendar from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Beautiful!
