Subject: BS: new cricket games From: The Sandman Date: 04 Mar 20 - 06:47 AM Hello, I would like to suggest a new form of limited over cricket, that might encourage better batting technique, the game to be called double four , and be limited to either 44 overs per side or 44 in total. the idea of changing scoring so that a four scored would be worth 8 runs, or double four to encourage batsman to be attacking but in a fashion of along the ground scoring, in the style of Tom Graveney, The batsman has less chance of being caught., if he is attempting to Drive along the ground, PREPARING ABETTER TECHNIQUE FOR TEST MATCHES.At the same time the batsman is rewarded for not trying to slog but score runs quickly . a variation would be another CRICKET game called CCC OR TRIPLE C.which again would be limited overs where 9 bowlers have to bowl 3 overs each and where a four would be called a triple 3 and worth 9 runs, whereas a six would only be worth a single 3, so 27 overs a side, this might encourage a higher standard of all rounders who could score more runs along the ground, rather than just slogging, a different form of attractive stylish entertaining cricket, this might encourage the use of lighter bats and top hand grip in the style of TomGraveney and safer stylish batting technique, triple c could be the replacement name for the old four runs. CCC or triple c could also be the initals for for the old four, he just hit a triple c |
